I'm posting from my phone so hopefully I don't have any embarrassing autocorrects....
Anyway, tried out the sushi place at the mall and was disappointed, not surprisingly. I mean mall sushi is like street meat= always kind of suspect and I should've known that. But the line to sit was really long and that was a (false) reassurance of sorts.
Service was fine, but the food left a lot to be desired. Bowls of hardened broccoli and chicken went around an around on the conveyor belt. The sushi rolls were basic at best- a little salmon here, a cucumber roll there...
Further underscoring the sub par experience was the fact that because we were a party of two, we had to sit across from another party of two at a four top table. It was equal parts awkward, uncomfortable and funny.
The first set of people we had at our table were the two guys pictured. One was born in the states and helped translate what the waiter said. The second set of people were these two girls. After saying hello, they kept to themselves and tried not to make eye contact. Haha. What an evening.
