Trying to plan a trip with a third world Internet connection is maddening. I've decided to go to Phuket after the training for a few days (I know, I know- it's not the pristine, untouched beach it was long ago, but it's the cheapest to fly into and the accommodation options are endless). Trying to find said accommodation with the Internet connection I have is just brutal. One picture loads, the next doesn't. One email goes through, the next doesn't. Ahhh!!
In other news, today we learned about the use of props. My brain is fried from that lecture, along with a lecture about the final four limbs of Ashtanga which basically talks about finding your inner self through concentrated meditation and you will eventually reach enlightenment. Top that off with trying to memorize poses with Sanskrit names like Ardha Baddha Padomottonasana and, well, you're fried. Here are some pics from today- me doing a yin pose with the aid of a prop, a teacher showing head stand with a prop, and a pic from the outside of my room. I'm on the bottom floor. I wasn't kidding when I said rustic. A redeeming quality about my room is that this sweet little bird taps on my window in the afternoon. It's adorable. Not adorable are the twentyish little flagella type insects that cover my bedroom wall (and one on my mosquito net this morning). Test tomorrow so must go study.

I hope things are better now that you're in a room without squirrels! I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!
