I am in so much pain. Along with my normal joint issues, my body is on fire. Mostly tops of my shoulders, between my shoulder blades and hip flexers. I haven't been drinking enough water and I feel like at night my muscles seize up. Last night was awful. Maybe got two or three total hours of sleep. Normally in the morning my wrists hurt so badly that it takes a solid five minutes to just put a shirt on. I thought maybe if I kept my body warm, my joints wouldn't hurt as badly in the morning, so I slept with the ac off. Bad idea, as the weather has turned from hot and dry to hot and sticky and humid. I kept waking up in puddles of sweat. I felt like I was running a fever. And by the time 550am came around, I officially felt like death. I went to breathing and meditation class and told the instructor how I felt. I said I would do my best, but that I might need to leave. It was all I could do to sit up for a 20 min meditation and 10 minute breathing exercise. I turned my cushion around, slowly backed out of the circle and laid down in the Shala. After class, the instructor came over and felt my head and took my pulse (??) and told me I did feel warm and should go to my room instead of doing the yoga class. The two hours went by so fast.
Then I went to our adjustments class where I still felt light/headed and weak, but I talked to other people in the class and apparently about four others were feeling the same way this morning and last night as well. So maybe something is going around.
One of the girls here does reiki and offered to give me a treatment. I'm not big on....treatments, and I don't know how much I believe in reiki, but I am bad at saying no. She had given me a treatment last week and I didn't feel anything until two days later when my pain marginally improved. Today I really did feel her energy, though. Who knows if it will actually work, but I'm desperate to find some pain relief. I have been taking ib profen some days and aleve others and nothing is helping.
Only a week and 4 more days. Can't come soon enough!!
Ps- here's the bird I talked about before that always taps on my windows in the afternoon.
Pps- yesterday was the last game of the regular hockey season for us! Greg will have pre playoff games and hopefully advance to the next round. Negotiations for next year should be starting soon. I have enjoyed our time in our little town and am looking forward to seeing where we will be next season!

I am thinking about you, friend, and I hope between the time you have written this post and now that the pain has reduced :(
