Hello, again, friends!
I was reminded of this little labor of love when I opened my email this morning to an article sent by a German reporter. I had started this blog so friends and family could 'stay in touch' while we were overseas, and I kind of forgot about it as we fell into a sleepy summer routine consisting of eating, sleeping, and gym/yoga-ing. So this hockey article reminded me, and all day long I've been meaning to get on here and type a post. So here it goes.

Here's the article. The tagline under the title roughly translates to something like "Wife Candace provides balance and stability for Greg." HAHAHAHA. Later on there's a quote from Greg saying he does yoga for balance and stability on the ice. ;)
Speaking of yoga, I've been doing yoga nearly every morning on the beach. This pic was taken a couple weeks ago. It was barely misty and very cloudy with a major breeze. Almost no one on the beach because of the weather (and maybe the fact that it was just after sunrise)- eerily quiet and also serene.
I've been teaching yoga on the beach. I started a group online and have 46 members! I plan a class a few days in advance and notify the members. They RSVP and show up. So far, it's been going really great! Meeting awesome people and getting a lot of experience as well.
A picture of me taking a picture of him taking a picture of me. What?
Greg's been getting out on the golf course a couple times a week.
The beast is doing well, too, despite whiskers apparently growing out of his nostrils. :)
He's made himself right at home, as you can see.
(Immediately ran to the closet for a blanket to put over this chair!)
And today we started the task of changing my name on my passport.
To Carolina.
Just kidding. Need to change my last name since I'm married and all. It was a pain in the ace to have my maiden name on my passport last year. It's needed for visas and insurance and drivers' licenses, oh my. This year we will try to make things easier. Heading back over the pond in less than 10 weeks. Eek!

Ahhhh you are going back to Germany? I am so jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd this time I will give you a couple more tips and hints. I read in an older post you missed greek yogurt. We have that too but it is called "Quark". There are different fat amounts. The one that comes closest to Greek is "Magerquark". You need to add a little water since it is pretty dry, but it packs a lot of protein.
And BTW I would LOVE to attend one of these Yoga classes.
